Kindergarten Music Program

Thursday, Hallie had her kindergarten music program at school. The elementary's theme this year is "Camp Character", so all the songs were Veggie Tales camp songs! It was so cute! They sang "God is Bigger than the Boogie Man", "The Marshmallow Song", "Stop, Drop, and Roll", "Goin' on a Bear Hunt", and a few others. It was actually the 4K and 5K all together singing, which was a total of around 75 kids! They did very good to be so little and to have to stand up there in front of a ton of people for 30 minutes! Hallie was just precious to watch! She really got into the songs and motions which is funny because anytime we would ask her at home to sing one of her songs she would say she didn't know the words or motions. I guess she just needed a bigger audience.

By the way, this year marks our third of five consecutive years to have to attend the kindergarten music program. They sing in both 4K and 5K, so we have gone the past two years to watch Abby, this year is Hallie, next year is Hallie and Lilly, and the next year will be just Lilly. Who knows, we might just keep going after that just because those little ones are so much fun to watch!

I tried to upload video of one of her songs, but after four hours it had still not fully uploaded, and I gave up. Here are some pictures though of the night.

Hallie and her sisters! I think Abby really enjoyed being on the other side of it this year getting to watch and support little sis! Lilly didn't really want to watch; she was more interested in wanting to steal my camera. Typical baby of the family.

Magic Springs

Since today was Labor Day and we were out of school, we decided to take the girls to Magic Springs. They received free passes to Magic Springs this summer when I signed them up for the summer reading program, and we decided this would be a great day to use them! We all had such a great time! Each summer with them gets better and better. Justin and I always think back to three summers ago when we had a 3 1/2 year old, a 14 month old, and a newborn. Aside from the birth of Lilly, that summer was awful! We felt like we were trapped in our house all summer long! Now things are so much better! Not that life isn't still challenging, but we can do things like we did today and truly enjoy them!

Big Girls' Room & Our New Piano

Awhile back I posted some pictures of the big girls new bunkbeds. At the time we were still missing our dresser & mirror and all the accessories. We finally have their room completed, and I promised I would post the new completed bedroom pictures.

Also, our piano was delivered to us on Tuesday. Abby had her first lesson yesterday!

The Many Faces of Hallie

(Thank you to Misha for inspiration for the first song on my playlist today. I thought it was appropriate for today's post!)

A dear friend of ours gives us all of her daughter's hand-me-down clothes. The Lord has truly used her to cloth my two youngest daughters. In fact, all of the tons of clothes she has given us are very nice clothing in either excellent shape or brand new with tags still on them. Well, yesterday I had a couple of bags of clothes in the van and Hallie spotted this beautiful pink dress
in one of them. She immediately changed into it when we got home from school. She looked so cute that I wanted to take her picture. She, for some reason, didn't want me to take her picture. The following is what happened. See for yourself.

Then she realized she was making me laugh and she lightened up...
